8vance boosts team with ten new colleagues

8vance kicks off 2023 with 25% team growth. As many as ten new talents have been recruited in just a few weeks. As a supplier of intelligent matching technology between people and work, 8vance has outgrown its start-up baby phase once and for all. The Research, Marketing, Sales, Implementation, Support, UX-design, Development and Information Security disciplines are being strongly reinforced. With this growth spurt, the total number of colleagues now reaches almost 50 specialised employees. We are happy to introduce them to you:

Vivien Poti, UX/UI Designer


Joining our development team in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) is Vivien Poti. She is an UX designer and Visual Artist. She studied at the University of Arts and Design in Cluj. Vivien’s area of expertise will be renewed User Experience, photos, videos and keeping our corporate identity up to date.

Yu-Wen Chen, NLP-engineer en Computer Linguist


Joining the research team is NLP expert Yu-Wen Chen. This Taiwanese colleague has a background in Computational Linguistics. Yu-Wen will improve our algorithms with the knowledge of state-of-the-art AI models. Her speciality is Natural Language Processing (NLP), based on scientific research she undertook as a PhD candidate for TU Delft.

Ruud van den Einden, Chief Information Security Officer


To ensure careful handling of all process data, Ruud van den Einden (1978) starts as our new Chief Information Security Officer. Secure processing, transport and storage of data are paramount at 8vance. Ruud is the first point of contact for anyone who is curious about how we actively implement ‘privacy by design’. Ruud reinforces the responsibility of all colleagues for procedures and monitoring (international) regulations on this subject and is responsible for the systematic update of our Information Security Management System.

Isaline Kroon, Support & Implementation

Sam Lebens, Marketing & Sales Automation


A further addition to our Marketing & Sales team is Sam. She works from Barcelona to work on our positioning. Sam will realise a data-driven and automated marketing and sales funnel with us. Sam has a lot of experience in particular with and knowledge of SaaS.

Valeri Marinova, Boekhouding en accounting


Also starting in our back-office is Valari. She is an International Finance and Control student and will join our accounting department. Valeri is from Bulgaria and lives in Venlo. She mainly has international sales and business experience. Valeri is doing an extracurricular programme on ‘personal and professional development’.

Zjef Moonen, Executive Assistant


And then there’s Zjef Moonen. He is now assisting our management team. Zjef just obtained his BA International Business at Fontys University in Eindhoven. He will start as Executive Assistant, taking all kinds of tasks off the CEO and CFO’s hands so that both can better focus on managing the rapidly expanding company.

Floor Jansen, Projectmanager


As a project manager, Floor is responsible for larger projects within 8vance. In particular, she is responsible for the trajectory between sales and support, introducing clients to the use of our systems. She maintains and monitors the overview of all departments and sub-projects involved and is a fixed point of contact for every (new) client.

Bodhi


Even in places where dogs are not allowed, Bodhi will still enter. 😉 Bodhi assists Floor as an assistance dog with her work. Floor has PTSD and Bodhi provides her when necessary with distraction, allowing Floor to manage stress more effectively. Bodhi brings a special atmosphere to the office and enjoys all the hugs from colleagues – but of course only when he has time to do so.
