Skills-based matching in green chemistry is at the heart of a new European project that 8vance is proud to join. The energy and climate transition is creating entirely new jobs, especially in green chemistry, while many job seekers, returners and career changers are looking for their next step. Future Proof Talent Development, a project co-funded by the European Union through the Just Transition Fund (JTF), brings these two worlds together across South Limburg: it makes untapped talent visible, inspires people to build a career in green chemistry, and guides them step by step towards sustainable work.
8vance’s role in the JTF project
8vance contributes its AI-driven, skills-based matching technology to this European initiative. Within the JTF project, our Talent AI matches candidates from the alumni network onto the lifelong-development (LLO) offering of affiliated education providers, and onto future roles in green chemistry and the sustainable SMEs of South Limburg. In practice, the alumni network for vocational (MBO) and applied-science (HBO) graduates, supported like a living Talent Community Platform, is optimally served: skills-based matching connects supply and demand between alumni, education providers, employers and career opportunities.
Why skills-based matching in green chemistry matters
Titles and diplomas describe what someone was once called, not what they can actually do. By matching on skills, we help people move from the work that is changing to the work that is emerging and help employers in green chemistry find the talent they urgently need. This Talent Community project is possible thanks to the Just Transition Fund, the European Union’s instrument for supporting regions and people through the shift to a climate-neutral economy.
