UWV and 8vance team up to better connect jobseekers and employers

In a tight, constantly evolving labor market, it’s crucial for UWV to quickly anticipate new developments. Traditionally, matching supply and demand based on education and work experience is no longer sufficient. UWV will collaborate with work-tech company 8vance to improve its services for job seekers and employers. By switching to 8vance’s intelligent matching technology, UWV can guide more people into the right job.

8vance selected after extensive tender
Prior to awarding the contract to 8vance, UWV completed a two-year tender process with an extensive program of requirements for a standard solution to match supply and demand in the labor market. The tender did not yield a suitable candidate, giving UWV the opportunity to begin negotiations with several participants, including 8vance.

The 8vance solution has been extensively tested and compared by UWV employees. External advice was also sought from organizations such as the Gartner Group. UWV ultimately selected 8vance because it is the only company currently offering a standard software package that meets UWV’s requirements and wishes. 8vance’s intelligent matching technology analyzes 80 million profiles and 25 million vacancies in real time to suggest relevant matches for everyone.

More options for job seekers, employers, and employees
The functionalities of the new package will soon offer everyone in the Netherlands the opportunity to find suitable work based on predicted skills, competencies, and ambitions. Suitable vacancies are suggested, and the required education and training to fill a desired profession (possibly in a different sector) is made clear. Job seekers will have control over their own data and can decide which data they want to share with whom.

Employers will gain more insight into potential candidates and have the opportunity to better profile themselves and their vacancies in the labor market. For UWV professionals, it offers all the tools to optimally support both job seekers and employers in need of support. With this decision, UWV makes the labor market more transparent for all parties and can respond to the changes needed to better match supply and demand.
